A more refined than the norm, Vera Cruz 'Sonriente' head fragment depicting a smiling child. This example has a beautiful and finely modeled face with a head cover featuring a plume and a serpent motif. The fragment would have been a molded piece attached to a mold made body and are frequently found separated. The head is intact with the neck reconstructed from original pieces.
